Die kostbaren Stunden am Ende des Tages, wenn alles still wird und alle anderen Aufgaben erledigt sind, sind meine produktivste Zeit – eine Zeit der inneren Einkehr. Ich brauche sie so sehr wie die Luft zum Atmen, und sie ist ein fester Bestandteil meines Tages. Die Stunden im Zwielicht haben für mich etwas Magisches: Es ist der Ort, an dem Welten ineinanderfließen und Unmögliches möglich wird. Auch dieses Bild beschäftigt sich mit dem Zwielicht – mit Licht und Schatten.
Those precious hours at the end of the day, when everything grows quiet and all my other tasks are done, are when my most productive time begins – a time for inner reflection. I need it as much as the air I breathe, and it has become a fixed part of my day. There is something magical about twilight: it is the place where worlds flow into one another and the impossible becomes possible. This painting is about twilight, too – the interplay of light and shadow.
